Radical equations
A radical equation is an equation in which the variable is stuck inside a radical.
To solve this kind of equations, remember when you have a variable inside a square root, you undo the root by doing the opposite: squaring.

Note: You can always check your answers in a solved equation by plugging your answer back into the original equation and making sure that it fits. (This is because the very act of squaring the sides can
create solutions that never existed before).
